I was not expecting dialogue of this quality, and thus far all the characters are really well executed and quite compelling. This is definitely one to watch and I'm excited to see where you will take it.

As for a road map, the way I've phrased it is there is a destination four specific endings are planned and outlined and I've got some destinations to hit on the way there with some guideposts. I don't have an outline by chapter but I know where I'm going, though I'm also taking feedback that is consistent with the story I want to tell into consideration eg, a character needs more development, etc.

We've got two or three more chapters to wrap up Act 1, then I'll begin working on Act 2. At this pace and with what I have planned, I expect development will take another 18 months or so. Looks like it might just become possible to build a relationship between Alex, Connor, Nick, and even with Ronan included despite being a complete asshole.

I am more and more surprised with your exceptional work, which is in the process of becoming almost even in a way revolutionary compared to the universe of Novels that has been until now heterosexually closed and dulgent towards other genres, thus blocking all options.

With your Novel you reverse this power by making us equal in all points of view without exception. Definitely, I'm really completely in love with this game-novel They are absolutely gorgeous guys. The choice is far too hard Tell me, are you becoming a perfectionist? I reassure you, it's in the right direction. Your work even becomes extremely surprising, it no longer has any relation to what it was at the beginning.

Any atmosphere the background of the story , all these themes and feelings that are there, are all very surprisingly well merged. Fortunately you can now name your save games, so hopefully that will help a little, and Chapter 10 comes out in a couple weeks. I actually did some research on the design of his eyes and why they're so striking. The dark ring around the iris is called a limbal ring. At some point, I'm going to include a reference to it but haven't had the opportunity yet.

I'm sorry to hear you were unhappy with the benefits you received as a Patron. It looks like you were a patron in the month of May and cancelled at the end of the same month, so you were a Patron when Build 0.

By "fixing old chapters," I assume you mean the reshoot of Chapter 1, which took about a week of development work and was also done in May. For me as a development team of one person, Build 0.

If that was only a "few seconds" for you and was unsatisfying, then it definitely sounds like this isn't the project for you. Best, BBN. Sure the images look great but so do the images in most of these VNs.

The difference here is that the sex itself is also pretty damn solid not animation, the text describing it, which imo is even hotter and most importantly the plot and the dialogue is very good. You will not be rolling your eyes trying to skip to the next sex scene. Plus the updates so far have all had a decent mix of plot and sex. Very promising. I must say, playing the first build and now the latest update, that this VN is really going to places.

It started a little slow, but now it's already a ' must play '. Thanks for trying it again! Wow, I love this game! It's so refreshing to see a 'small' game like this with all of the above considering they usually lack one or two of those. As a small constructive criticism without spoilers I would suggest to maybe try to improve the appearance of the werewolf, maybe make his 'nose' more of a snout, and overall make him a little more wolf and a little less ape hope Im not offending you, just a thought.

This is entirely optional, but it would be great to have some options to top some of the characters! Not offending me at all! It's hard for me to respond to without going into spoiler detail but if you swing by our Discord and ask in the Spoilers channel, I'd be happy to talk about it some more. For now here on some public forums without the ability to drop it into a spoiler, I'll say there were some technical reasons behind that decision as well as an in-game reason. But, you're not alone with not being particularly wild about that model it's not my ideal, either.

If a better model comes along that works for what I needed to do in that particular scene, I will probably go back and update it. There is at least one werewolf. As to who he is or they are I won't spoil it but you can find out in this build. I am always so pleasantly surprised at the evolution, this addition of background story about their lives and certain relationships will have made them even more interesting in several ways.

It even makes them in a certain sense even more charming. The story in general is really becoming very influenced by all these series and movies in the genre of "Supernatural", "True Blood", etc Definitely, I really love your job. Take good care of you.

I leave you a big hug. Thanks, Ia! I can't wait to get build 0. I think you'll love it. You really do honor to our small community, which despite everything remains as strong and united. In other words, don't play this at work or on an employer-provided device. This game seem interesting are you considering Android version.

Hi there! I am, yes. I tried to do it with this build but encountered a lot of errors when trying to create the distributable files. Once I have build 0. That said, if you go to f95zone , someone created an android port hthat you could download there. As it happens I may have finally figured this out. If so, Build 0. Unfortunately, I don't have an android device on which to test compatibility, but I'll try to include it as an option.

From a technical perspective, yes, it would be that easy. However, like I said, someone has already ported 0. So if it works, great! If not, not so great but also no money out of your pocket. Then now I am definitely reassured that this risks becoming absolutely exceptional work. I definitely fell completely in love with your game-novel.

Speaking of something else You have evolved so much in such a short time that it is even impressive. Then all of this really starts to get noticed. You can be proud of the beautiful person and genius that you are, and of the sublime work that you do. Yes, with the monstrous, half-human form. Why not play it in a more Lycanthrope way? Then in this form, all this merge very well with the general atmosphere of your game-Novel.

Especially since you have already installed a little romanticism, sensuality and passion in the personality of the main character, you could possibly slightly accentuate all this towards certain characters, such as the detective for example, who seems to be being charmed and tenderly attracted to him.

On the other hand, this young vampire who follows the main character everywhere, he sweats sensuality and a very protective and loyal side to his human heart. Regarding Dr. Ricci, it's hard to place him in this story other than the somewhat fatherly figure and best friend I think in Build 0. Ricci is definitely kind of a "daddy" for those who are into seeing younger and older guys hook up.

As to how exactly he fits into the metaplot I won't confirm or deny anything. It's very well done! I'm talking about your audience of course. Not to mention the creator of the main character's new personality That's so awesome; thank you!

I really appreciate the feedback! I'm already hard at work on the next update, with a draft of the first scene fully written. I'm finalizing work on the models for two new characters, then will begin the rendering, scripting, audio and so forth. Definitely more to come! Bound by Night - A Visual Novel.

ScotBear 5 days ago. Just got to the end of Chapter 11, and damn this is one helluva hot game!!!!!! Thank you for many hours of entertainment. Interea takes place during Adastra, in the months before the end. Khemia takes place 2. Hoh man. I finished Adastra in a few days and after that, I died.

I need a sequeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeel! Khemia takes place 2 years and a half after the end of Adastra. The story deals with Amicus going on Khemia to complete the Alliance with the Khemians.

In this game, you don't play the Human though. You play a young wolf named "Scipio" The one you see in the pay-off at the end of Adastra. Khemia's likely to give us a Neferu x Scipio relationship, while Amicus deals with the bureaucratic shit poor baby wolf :c. If you want even more, you can play Interea. Interea's a spin-off to Adastra.

In Adastra, this even is summed up in a few sentences. There also will be a likely plot regarding Alexios. Since he isn't shown but simply mentioned in Khemia, I supposed they'll kill him in Interea?

That's no spoilers, don't worry, just a simple guess. You're then also hit with a "TBC" screen. This is due to a HUGE writer block lack of inspiration from the writer Khemia and also because the writer just moved houses, quite the distance, and had to stop writing both games.

Khemia's been on hold for many months now, and Interea hasn't received any huge updates in a while now. However, things should get back to normal soon. I guess. Is that a sign for things to finally move? Who knows ;P. I want to know if one of the choices make any significant difference.

I ask since it's near the start of the game and skipping doesn't stop for new text. Is the choice between death being infinity or oblivion something that shows new scenes or is it just for show?

I just got back from testing it and got the same end. I suspect it's the good end Guess I misremembered what I chose :P. I believe there are 2 variants to the good end and in one you see a vision with who appears to be Meera but may be the Other in in disguise. In the other you don't see her. In fact the cannon version is the one where you see her since it's mentioned in Khemia when Scipio sees her.

The Good ending, which you end up having only if you answer "Infinity" when you're being asked what is death to you, "yes" when you're being asked if Amicus would be a great emperor, and "I think you should talk to him more" or smth along those lines when Amicus asks you if he should stick to Neferu.

The Meera ending, which you end up having only if you answer less than two of the answers above. The Bad Ending, which you end up having only if you answer "No" when the parents ask you if you'll submit to their benevolent will or something. Now, if you have the Good ending, the Parents will show you a vision of you and Amicus, happy, in the future, and you finish the game trusting them a little.

This scene happens, if I recall correctly, on your last day on Adastra when you visit the archives. The Meera ending takes place at the same time, same place, but when the Parents are about to show you the vision, Meera, or the Other, we don't know yet, talks to you about how the Parents are evil, and you finish the game not really trusting the Parents.

And finally, the Bad ending, taking place right after Cato slashed your neck. If you answered "Yes" and agreed to work for the Parents, Amicus rushes to save you. And the game continues. If you answered "No", however, the Parents will let you die and the game ends here. Hopefully they will add the ring on Amicus's finger in Interea and Khemia LordDakyn and I hope they add some scenes where Amicus and Marco speak to each other and reunite right?

Well, Khemia takes place about 2. However, since Amicus is getting updates of what is happening on Earth it begs the question of how? If they have some ship hidden around Earth it can access the internet and get news and return it back to Adastra on a regular basis. Or maybe the Parents are providing the info? I think that is the best we can hope for right now. I was just making casual talk with others that read this VN, and, well, according to this, aliens are supposedly considered a real thing and dragons are a common thing among cultures.

I'll leave the rest of the thinking to you Well the intent always was to get back to Khemia once Interea is done, so I assume that's still the plan. Honestly doubt Interea will ever be done because it is simply filler. Depending on how many days in-between Adastra and its ending will be additional time for devs to put Khemia on hold.

Remembering the last arc from Naruto Shippudden A good example is that in Khemia Brunis is a Wolverine with a cyborg arm and smokes that plant for his pain, but otherwise we do not know much about him.

In Interea we learn about the Wolverines and how the Khemians were uplifting them when the Wolves attacked and killed the Khemian scientists and all but two of the Wolverines. Hence we have a good idea how Brunis lost his arm and why he smokes that plant PTSD issues probably and why he is one of the diplomats for Khemia to rub the Wolves noses in their crime against his race. After months of deliberation and indecisiveness Note: you might have to settle if you choose the bigger sheet as there may be less options to choose from.

Man, I don't know what impressed me the most between the excellent writing or the wholesomeness of Amicus. O wow just cause I didn't like a story and gave my opinion means I just spent 3 hours reading it just to Hate on it see.

I don't care if you read this shit a bunch of times you have ur opinion is anybody hating on ur opinion no so let me have my opinion without someone telling me o you hating on cause its a furry vn that's not even the thing the shits generally ass. You're not giving an opinion, you're just a bored kid looking for some attention. Seeking for a fight must let you feel important and considerate, but you didnt considerate that here you are alone against an entire loyal fandom.

Haters are just stupid as the tought that offending something gives you the right to call it opinion even if it is not. Nah, nah! Man up, boy! You don't get to piss and shit on people and run away without consequence. Leave your tainted mark here for everyone to smell, so we can learn on what not to be - an inconsiderate little but loud attention-whoring receptacle of antifurryturd.

Also, you're still here despite telling us "I'm done with y'all dumb fucks see ya" just three days ago! Well I do agree that there were points where the story felt like it was dragging on and can understand not liking furries, but as an overall story it was actually quite nice. I started out with "coming out on top" and tried to find more visual novels of that aspect but the majority of visual novels that you find have some furry element.

At that point, I just grew use to seeing furry related content even though I'm never really trying to look for it. Just trying to find some good story telling and I think this visual novel did quite alright. As for the age thing At the end of the day this is a piece of writing and everything we have stated in regards to the writing is opinionated.

And yes I am aware you stated you didn't enjoy this visual novel for it's writing and not cause of the furry aspect of it all. It just hypocritical to say it's your opinion that the vn is shit and then say how can anyone find this good What did the community ever personally do to you to deserve such viscuous hate oozing from the remnant that is your soul?

Did your parents walk in on you while you gawked at Lola Bunny in Space Jam, and then they reprimanded you your entire life? If your friend was a furry, would you treat them the same as you treat the fandom? The problem may not be coming from outside but from within. You say you hate furries, but ultimately you hate your self since you feel the hate yourself. You do realize ratings are mere guidelines and not enforceable mandates, right? Otherwise, you wouldn't have been able to play cult classics in grade school.

Thank your parents for that at least. Cool wow u feed into the attention the apparently I wanted second I always didn't like the fandom even when I was in it. Ik this might seem slightly unrelated but doesn't anyone have link or image of neferu drawn as his younger self? I remember seeing it long while back but can't find it anymore.

I don't know which image you're talking about but that's all I found lmao. I played this 17 times and I will continue to replay it. It helps me in a way, I was I a, let's say bad place. And reading this over and over helped me Overcome a lot of troubles, the characters are likeable, funny and somehow relatable at times, most of all it masterpiece.

Even if it's not perfect what really is, the characters are a pure example of that. I hope to all the new readers you experience the same feelings I did. Great Scott, you speak like Tai You flatter me so and I just noticed it like 5 minutes ago to be honest. From where does this "forcing them" idea that you imagined come from, I wonder? Flashgitz or something? Is this a safe YouTuber? Like they aren't homophobic right? I found this video funny regardless.

Nothing is safe on the Internet especially on YT, so enjoy whatever comes your way and just laugh. And no, there is no sense of "irrational fear of homosexuals" by Flashgitz. All their videos have high replay value HAHA! Haha feels bad for your friends that they've to gone through this emotional rollercoaster VN. Personally I think there's a lot of flaws in this game, I played through it all thinking it might get better but the plot is all over the place.

I feel like for this kind of game to work you gotta have multiple routes, you gotta have different romance options, any form of choice the player can make. It's written as a story with one choice and that's it, there's no real extra scenes if you choose differently I went back and checked. If you're going to have a game with one set story with no real branching then don't put any options in to begin with.

But there are options and I feel like they can do good with that, there are so many characters you could possibly romance that aren't amicus that could give this game more liveliness. The art is pretty good but I think that's the only redeeming quality, if you're gonna make a story driven game like this it at least has to make sense and pace well.

What an emotional rollercoaster. I will be honest my best friend is into this stuff and to better understand him I happened upon this. Not even ashamed in the slightest This story touched my very heart and soul. I didn't expect to enjoy this story as much as I did but you had me at the edge of my seat the whole way. Please keep up the great work to all who was a part of telling this tale.

Or Re-read the whole thing, you miss everyone so, revisiting Adastra may put a stop to it while you heal. Can people give me the pictures or just backgrounds from Amicus and Marco? I will love that :. You can find it the game files! It's not an official from. Was not expecting such a masterpiece!

I know the ramblings of a random internet person don't hold much weight, but I genuinely felt a type of joy I never experienced going through this game which sounds sad. Dont worry about it.

I might've finished this game in a day, but It'll probably stick with me for the rest of my life. The meaning of your words evade me, and I'm not sure if I wish to know or not at this point. I play this over and over can't stop reading, I've come back to it four times since last build completed. The mona Lisa of VN. All I can say is that I'm heartbroken right now even though I've gone through the ending.

M quite soo happy for Amicus, but at the same time, I can't bear the pain that Marco has gone through during these highs and lows.

What can be said about this absolutely amazing horror experience? The way the creators use the VN format to effectively scare the player is damn genius and one of the reasons this story could never be told outside of that format. The set-up is simple: You are Chase Hunter. A otter who grew up in Echo and are coming back for spring break to do a school project and a chance to reunite with your childhood friends: Flynn, Carl, TJ, Jenna, and Leo. You get to Echo and everything seems fine for the first 2 days of your trip.

On Monday however, you and your friends go to a river near Lake Emma, the place where your friend, Sydney was found dead.

This sparks an argument between Flynn and the rest of you. After said argument is over, all but you and Carl have left the area and you must make a choice: Which one of your friends will you go after?

This is where the route choice presents itself. And I must say, it is an excellent set-up. I will review each route individually and give my opinions on each. Carl's route is the one I played first. Before I get into the nitty gritty of the route, I must mention how you begin his route. You sit down. That's it. You just click his name and sit down next to him. It's a very passive way to begin a route and matches Carl to a T.

You see, Carl lives a very sedentary life. He plays video games, eats, smokes weed, and sleeps. But beneath that exterior of laziness is a great character who I fell in love with. This route is the least scary to me. All that really happens is Carl and you start to hallucinate from town's effects on you. But this is what leads to a major revelation about Carl's ancestor, James Hendricks I. I won't spoil more beyond that, but suffice it to say, Carl's route left an impression on me.

This is my least favorite route out of all of them. Leo is a character I really don't like that much. But that is not the reason I don't like his route. It does do things right at certain points. I will say that a certain character has given me nightmares on more than one occasion. And Leo's bad ending is one of the most chilling experiences I had with this game. Leo may be an awful person, but I still enjoyed his route.

Fuck man. I don't even know where to start with this one. This is my second favorite route in the game.

Solely for the emotional impact that the ending had on me. This is one of the only routes in the game that has a singular ending. And it's a banger, lemme tell you. The main reason you would pick TJ's route is to comfort him after Flynn yelled at him.

I should know, this is why I picked it! But the game skillfully turns this desire against you over the course of the route. Chase has a secret that he has kept hidden for years. And that secret is coming back to haunt him in this route. The bathroom scene is still one of the most terrifying moments in the game for me. This route is so damn good, man.

Flynn Moore. The black sheep of the Echo fandom. It would seem Flynn ignites rage in the majority of the fandom for simply having trauma. But that is neither here nor there. I shall simply say that Flynn's route is my favorite in the game. This route is the only one with overt sex scenes.

I was surprised when I experienced this because I had thought Echo to be a mature game that knew senseless NSFW content ruined good stories. But I was proven wrong! The sex scenes in this route serve the purpose of showing Flynn's main coping mechanism: Sex. Flynn was the closest in the group to Sydney before he died. Syd's death greatly effected him because of said closeness.

However, he was never able to express his grief over his best friend because his other friends made him bury it deep down to avoid hurting TJ. This lead to an embittered man with deep-seated issues that were never resolved. I love Flynn Moore. He is an extremely well-written character and his fate in both this route and TJ's left me feeling empty inside. I love this fucking route, OMG. This was the final route to be completed. Therefore, it was the one I played the last.

I really like this route. It tied a lot of stuff together. Jenna is a character who I personally dislike. She is a manipulative cunt who uses her traumatic family life as an excuse to talk down to all the other characters and I just found her to be insufferable. However, playing this route changed my view on her.

This route is the one that focuses that most on Tetanus Alley gang. Which means more info on Jenna's childhood. Very informative stuff here.

This route also features the most pants-shittingly scary moments in the entire game for me. Oh yeah, and Brian is back. Really great route! I found Jenna's route to be the most unnatural feeling. Like you said she's manipulative and such. Her route did change my view of her somewhat and it does tie lots of things together and has the best ending.

But I still don't like Jenna very much. I would suggest to play Carl's route first and leave TJ and Flynn's route for the last, the rest of them, play at hearts content. Personally my favorite is Leo, Carl's and Flynn's route where very good too. Haven't finished the other characters yet. Girlboss Gaslight Gatekeep Each route is insanely great, with side characters just enhancing the story in a beneficial way. Not a single character written poorly by any means. Me gusta. I can't believe there are no more updates to this game.

It's honestly so great. I wish there were more : but after all, there has to be an end. It's been a bit since I played the game through in its entirety, but I remember taking a couple of weeks reading it for between hours a night. I would say there is at least 30 hours worth of reading material, though its probably close to 40 if you play all routes and try to get all the endings. Going through one route though should take between hours, with subsequent playthroughs being shorter as you can skip over the first 2.

How is it that each time I do a new route it makes me feel worse on the inside then the last one? I'm going to have to find a new VN to cheer me up. If anyone has any good suggestions I'd love to hear them! I won't spoiler any from here, but i can promise its more upbeat than that still have some sad scenes, but not as much as Echo. Jesus this is the best visual novel I've played to date and probably for long after , first entry into the horror side for me, and I may now have an addiction for the unknown.

Man I loved Jenna's route. Sad its ended but lets hope we get to see the characters again in new releases! Me playing Adastra was like: My feelings have been destroyed and I am now burning inside. I am not hurt. I am destroyed!! Flabbergasted by just how incredible this VN is. After playing though every route, I can say with certainty this is the best VN that I have ever played, and probably ever will.

That said, heed that content warning; this is not for everyone. If you could be potentially triggered by sensitive subjects, themes, or images, you must put your own health first and keep yourself away from this. It goes to some incredibly dark places. With that in mind, I'd like to, without spoiling anything, convince you to play this if you feel capable of doing so. Firstly, I must sing the praises of the writing, as of course that is the crux of any good visual novel: the writing is stellar.

Very minimal grammar mistakes and typos, firstly, and beyond that surface-level, there is so much depth behind the writing. This is paced beautifully. Within I'd say 15 minutes, this story had its hooks in me.

Its introduction has a way of feeding you just enough information to get your curiosity piqued, in probably the most natural way I've ever seen any VN do so. The narration feels very genuine, natural, like one's own inner monologue, and every new piece of info from the narrator is mentioned as if it's already understood, leaving you, the reader, with oodles of questions that spur you further into the narrative, seeking answers. Then we have all of the characters Every single one is extremely well-rounded and expertly written.

You can feel and understand every one of them, their actions and behaviors consistent with their own personalities and the situations they're put in at every moment, and each one, including those that are minor and seemingly inconsequential, are deeper than they first seem.

You will fall in love with at least the main cast if you play through all routes, which you will need to in order to fully understand the underlying story, which brings me to my next point.

You're always moving in circles. This is the thematic center of this game You will have to return to the beginning, you will have to retrace your steps, you will have to move yourself and this world in circles if you want any chance at understanding it I first properly picked this game up around 2 weeks ago And I adore that. Let this game suck you into it, and let yourself get captivated by the town of Echo.

This game will leave a lasting impact on you, in my opinion for the better. As a final note, my personal recommendation for the order of character routes is as follows: Carl, Leo, Flynn, TJ, Jenna. Carl's route is a more gentle descent into madness than the rest, and it should tell you whether you're interested in the rest of the routes, and then Jenna's ending is probably the best, most positive send-off you could hope for from this trying experience.

But of course, your journey through the town of Echo is your own They always do. Could someone help me clarify what happened at the end of Flynn's route? I am so confused. The evil of Echo took advantage of his need to seek the truth, in the end he became Socket man and began to, sort of, travel through time. Every time you see Socket man, well That's Flynn Ok, let me recapitulate a bit I may be a little bit off tracks 'cause I only went through it once.

He went to the mines, got burned, saw all echo, somehow got transported back when salamander boy saw him and he tried to rescue him, then got taken to the lake and that's when TJ saw him just before what happened to Sydney, then got transported waaaay back when Carl's ancestor pinned his crimes on his lover and his lover got hanged.

Basically the evil was just transporting him here and there taking his conscience, Flynn sometimes remembering who he was, but mostly was not in a sort of auto-pilot. At least that is what I gathered. Don't know if that answers Overall realy good writting from what I manage to read, but it's gonna take me few more months to finish since I need to brave up a bit. Actually I don't know for sure what the reason is but I'll keep playing it I don't think I'll ever be forgetting how much this has affected me.

Something about Leo's route, the entire thing really but especially the finale parts; it stuck with me. There's just a certain level of tragedy to it all that produces this uneasiness I can't seem to shake off, even a damn week later. Not sure whether I actually liked some decisions this went with or not, but I truly would not wish this dark depressing feeling this shit gives you on my worst enemy.

It's all about detachment, sometimes you just need to let go something that it's clearly hurting you. I suppose you're right. Even still though, I'm not sure the ending really gave the closure I was hoping for, if that makes sense.

It felt like I was in the final act and then it just I guess it just felt really unfulfilling to me, especially with what happened with Leo. Personally, even though Leo was acting all toxic, controlling everything and outright lying to you, I felt something for the wolf and yes, I felt horrible at the idea of Chase never talking to him ever again. But then again, it's something that must happen for a healing to begin. It's a matter of perspective. Like, I see the message it was trying to convey with having them separate, but I still felt discomforted by it.

Sure, being apart will help them both, but is that really it? No other choices? That ending gave a sense of complete hopelessness that I just can't understand. It just leaves this awkward bitter taste in my mouth. This is a great game. I really enjoyed it. It really depends on what you define as good if the ending will be good or not. There may not be a "good" ending in a route, you must face this like it is.

A journey through hell into madness. He is a wolf and if the good ending got you like that, I don't know what will the bad ending do to you
