These microphones really have a broad range of uses as I have used them for every application under the sky. As well as just picking up vocals I use them to pick up instruments and they pick up all instruments very well from guitars, violins, flutes, harps and trumpets I even put one over head a drum kit for a small production to pick up the snare and hi hats and I couldn't believe how well it picked them up.
I would certainly recommend these microphones to anyone they have no specific job they are just a good all round microphone. Great price as well!! My Superlux Eco 88 Review. If You like to sing little bit far ,- it is not so sensitive to proximity , like other mikes SM57 - Don't place microphone , to very near distance, at very loud sound source kick or bass amp.
